Dr Mehran Sanei
Prosthodontist
Dr Sanei graduated from Glasgow Dental Hospital in 1992. He went on to complete two years of Hospital training in Maxillo-Facial Surgery, and in 1994 entered private practice in the city of London. In 1996 he enrolled in a three year post graduate Masters programme at the Ohio State University (USA) and received his Masters Degree in Prosthodontics and certificate of Speciality in 1999. Since then he has been practicing in the West End of London and has been a part time lecturer at the Eastman Dental Hospital up until 2004.
He is recognised by the British General Dental Council and the American Dental Association as a Specialist in Prosthodontics. He has given national and international lectures on the topics of Cosmetics and Implantology, has been an active member of the American Dental Society of London since 1999, and has served as its secretary from 2007 till 2010.
He lives in north London with his wife and 3 sons and is passionate about dentistry, art, sport and music.
Dr Shahrzad Rahbaran
BDS, MSc, FDS RCS, MRD (Endo)
Dr Rahbaran qualified from the Royal London Dental Hospital in 1992, and held a number of hospital positions in Restorative Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery, and obtained her FDS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (1995) prior to joining the Endodontic MSc program at the Eastman Dental Institute. She successfully completed the MSc with distinction in 1999 and was appointed full-time clinical lecturer in endodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute from 1999 to 2002. In April 2002, she was awarded the membership in restorative dentistry (MRD RCS) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and gained entry into the Specialist List for Endodontics. Since 2002, she has divided her time between private practice and lecturing at the Eastman CPD department and the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
She has published articles and abstracts in endodontic journals, given presentations at international conferences and has co-authored the "Surgical Endodontics" chapter in the highly rated textbook "Endodontics".
She provides a full range of endodontic treatments, while patients enjoy a movie or two, or listen to music while treatment is carried out and should this not be sufficient to relax them, sedation can be offered.
Mr Anish N Shah
BDS (Hons), MFDS RCS, MFGDP, FRSPH, FFD RCSI, FDS RCPS
Mr Shah is a Consultant Oral Surgeon with over 10 years experience in this speciality. He qualified from Guys Hospital in 1999 with a prestigious double honours and after a year as a vocational practitioner, he embarked on a career in Oral Surgery. He undertook training within the Essex regional hospitals and gained his membership from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2001. He was also a part time clinical tutor at kings College Hospital and in 2005 excelled in the Speciality Fellowship examination, FFD. He was admitted onto the Specialist register for Oral Surgery in 2006.
In addition to 75 Harley Street,he also works as a Consultant Oral Surgeon for South Essex Partnership University foundation Trust & Southend Hospital. He is both a member and fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and carries out all aspects of oral surgery such as complex extractions, wisdom teeth and apicectomies. He has also developed a special interest in Oral Medical conditions such as oral ulcerations, burning mouth syndrome and lichen planus.
He is Clinical Lead for all Community Dental Services for the South East Essex area, and lectures nationally and internationally on Oral Surgery. He contributes to medical journals and has published many articles on Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine. He is recognised by all major insurance companies.
He takes pride in being an extremely gentle diligent surgeon and is particularly excellent with nervous patients and offers treatment under IV sedation.
Teya Duggleby
Hygienist
Teya is a qualified dental Hygienist, originally from Australia. She has lived in London for around four years and has been in the dental industry for fifteen years, having first worked as a dental nurse whilst studying an arts degree in Communications, and then going on to complete her degree in Dental Hygiene.
She has been a hygienist for over ten years and have experience in many areas of dentistry, having worked at a variety of specialist and general practices in Sydney, Perth and London. She is committed to the wholistic health of her patients and has attended many post-graduate courses in a wide range of areas. She has a caring nature, pays great attention to detail and works in a thorough but gentle way.
She loves being part of this exciting city and enjoying all it has to offer. She likes the arts, music, going to the theatre and galleries, travel, and have recently become a Pilates devotee!
Jane Rous
Hygienist
Jane Rous qualified as a Dental Therapist in 1976.
Her emphasis has always been on the prevention of Dental Disease and therefore has concentrated her practice on helping her patients to achieve high standards of oral health.
Through many years of experience, Jane is a passionate, highly skilled operator, achieving exceptional results with an empathetic approach and showing particular sensitivity towards the nervous patient.
She is a qualified Aromatherapist and a Reiki Healer.
She shares her time between her home in Italy and London where she lives with her Husband. She has many passions but topping the list are her 3 grown up children, good food and wine and La Dolce Vita with the occasional burst of exercise--yoga.
Ms Carmen Scherchen
Practice Manager
Carmen began her dental career in Switzerland where she qualified as a dental nurse and worked there for 3 years. She then moved to London and joined a practice as a dental nurse where she remained for over 20 years. During this time she gained a wealth of clinical experience as well as book-keeping, computing, administration and practice management.
In 2001, She was employed as practice manager with us at 75 Harley Street and to this day oversees the smooth running of the practice. In addition to her career skills, she speaks English, Italian and German, and her hobbies include jewellery making, painting and baking.
Serena Barton
Dental Nurse
Serena has recently joined the Harley street Practice. She has been nursing for over 10 years, and has spent 6 of those in private practice in the west end of London. She has experience of nursing in a range of specialities including oral surgery, endodontics and Implantology, for which she has attended a number of courses ranging from basic to advanced. She achieved the National certificate qualification at the start of her career and in 2010 gained the certificate in Oral health Education and plans to further her dental studies, by completing a radiography course in the near future.
Outside of work she has a passion for cooking and has recently taken up yoga.
